The 9 Health Foundations Program

The 9 Health Foundations are the simple yet effective steps you can implement to create the environment needed to regain wholeness. Each foundation makes up a practice that needs to be established before any biohack or supplement can even be minimally effective. Though the Foundations are best done in the order given, you can apply any one at any time. They build upon one another as a positive feedback cycle, simultaneously reducing intenal inflammation while creating momentum towards whole health optimization. The GREAT news is each foundation can be personalized to you!

Proper hydration

This is the most basic foundation of health. Having enough water in the body is a condition necessary for transport of nutrients, removal of waste and toxins, the proper communication between cells, and maintaining the coherence of tissues. Proper hydration looks like clean, filtered water with the right balance of elements (ie electrolytes and minerals).

Adequate sleep

Sleep is how the brain defragments and sorts information, making your life and thoughts fluent, accessible, and easy to access.  It is also the most healing and regenerative state that the body can be in. During this time the body is in the parasympathetic nervous state, which gives the adrenals and everything else rest, while taking care of healing, detoxification, processing, and other regenerative and maintenance activities that are necessary to healing and optimal function.

Connecting with the earth and heavens is part of living IN creation rather than ON creation.  Being outdoors and absorbing infrared light, full spectrum sunlight, and free electrons reduces inflammation, restores circadian rhythm, and is essential for healthy hormone regulation.

Metabolic health primarily by blood sugar regulation. Consuming nutrient dense foods that promote a balanced blood sugar is the forth important step to optimizing your health. The endocrine system, primarily the insulin glucose response cycle, is the master conductor for hormone regulation. Hormones govern all of the bodies’ functions (including fertility and detox). When our hormones are functioning properly, inflammation cycles in the body naturally regulate.

Decreased inflammation means room for natural detoxing and increased energy while decreasing risk factors for system disconnections and dysfunctions that lead to disease. 

In my Foundations program we focus on simple meals that check all the boxes and fit into your life, so that you can easily consume balanced macronutrients that keep your blood sugar stable, as well as all the necessary micronutrients that you need for long term health and optimal function.

Don’t let this one scare you if you are not able to get full workouts into your life! Movement is more than sports and fitness. Walking, daily lifting, gardening, and other everyday tasks can meet this requirement, especially when done intentionally.  We can figure out what appropriate motion, movement, and activity plan that is a good fit for you in your current season of life that will support increased energy, flexibility, and detoxification.

This is a time for play. For discovering what makes your soul come alive. Also a time for personal reflection and increased awareness.  This type of rest and re-creation is different from sleep. These are activities that you take pleasure in, that get you into “the flow”, and make you feel connected to creation and the Creator.  They support you in getting more creative ideas, energy, satisfaction, and achievement in your life.  Examples would be walking in nature, journaling, picnicking with friends or family, skiing, biking, horseback riding, etc.
